If We Live

For  that  ye ought to say, If the Lord  will ,  we  shall live, and  do   this ,  or   that .                                                   - James 4:15 If I live to see tomorrow... I remember hearing adults say this when I was a child.  Tomorrow seemed to be some miraculous day.  Big things were going to happen.  Something special was in store.  I began to think and say aloud: I can't wait until tomorrow. I did not realize that the biggest factor in "tomorrow" was if the Lord willed us to live to see it.  Everything, each and every day rested in the will of God.  So, what about today? How about some reframing.  "The Lord has blessed me with today. He allowed me this day."  How about doing something in the now. Procrastination is a thief.  It is a threat to hope....

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Sitting Here Thinking

Corinthians 9:8 “And God  is  able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all  things , may abound to every good work:” “Grace.  Grace.  God’s grace.  His grace is sufficient for me.” Yesterday was kind of rough.  My mind was on speed dial.  Traveling backwards.  Mistakes made, beating me up.  Opportunities missed, breaking me down.  But God.  God’s Word delivered me.  As I reflect on yesterday’s scenario, I am sitting here thanking God for grace.  I realize that attacks by the enemy, can never surpass nor succeed the miraculous grace of Jesus.  Jesus Christ, the Savior of my soul.   Still sitting here in awesome wonder of God’s grace.  Grace.  Grace.  How sweet the sound.  That saved a wretch like me.  Truly Amazing.  God bless.  In  Christ, Sis. Not Up for Debate

Malachi 3:6 “For I  am  the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Jesus is Lord.  Facts. He does not change.  Ever.  Verifiable.  Some days are hard.  Just troubling.  So much going on.  Cannot always ignore the noise.  Yet we persevere.  And not because we are so strong.  But God is.  His unchanging hand… His matchless love… His boundless mercy… His constant presence preserves.  Jesus is Lord. Jesus.  Lord Jesus.  God bless.  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Believing God

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform  it  until the day of Jesus Christ:” Preparing for the next chapter. Cleaning the clutter inside and out.  Reevaluating priorities.  Seeking a revival.  Believing God.  Slowing down a bit.  Focusing on spiritual wellness.  Taking care of my business.  Exercising faith.  Believing God. Stopping to view the sunrise.  Appreciating the sunset.  Planting flowers.  Picking some… Believing God.  Being thankful.  Being kind.  Being… Just being. Believing God.  God bless. In Christ, Sis. The Red Bicycle

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Daddy taught us to ride a bike. The red bicycle belonged to my brother.  I loved the cranberry red bike.  I remember my father holding the bike steady and guiding me along.  I also remember him letting go and sometimes I wobbled. Daddy was there to hold me and pick me up when I fell. Many life experiences can be viewed through the experience on the red bicycle.  My Heavenly Father holds me steady.  He guides me along.  I am thankful that when I get "wobbly"  He teaches me how to maintain my balance. He watches over me. He keeps me from falling.  Thank you, Lord, for every blessing. Thank you for every lesson learned.  Thank you for the red bicycle.  God bless.  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie
