Psalm 37:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Dear Friends,
Just pondering the promises of God. A promise, according to Merriam Webster is:
- a declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something specified
- reason to expect something
- ground for expectation of success, improvement, or excellence
The Psalmist tells us to "trust in the Lord and do good"
- so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. (That's a promise)
We are told to "Delight thyself also in the Lord"
- and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (That's a promise)
We are admonished to: "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him"
- and he shall bring it to pass. (That's a promise)
Whatever God has declared we can expect. That's a promise.
Our expectation is sure and our success certain when we trust in God. That's a promise.
God is the God of Excellence. Excellent is His Name. Every Word the Lord has spoken will be fulfilled. That's a promise.
Peaceful God. Powerful God. Promise.
God bless!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
