The Greatest of These is Love...Let Love Abide

1 Corinthians 13:13 King James Version (KJV) 13  And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Dear Friends, God has blessed us to see the last day of the year.  Many people look back at the end of the year on what they have been able to accomplish and look forward and set new goals.  The Holy Spirit has placed in my heart to review the year through this window and move forward the same window always in view: 1 Corinthians 13 King James Version (KJV) 13  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4  Charity suffere

Hope in God ...Abiding Hope

1 Corinthians 13:13 King James Version (KJV) 13  And now abideth faith, hope , charity, these three; but the greatest of these is  charity. Dear Friends, Our hope, our confidence is never misplaced when it is put in the Lord. Hoping in our own ability or in that of others may and most often will bring about disappointment because we cannot do anything by our own strength.  The Lord is our strength.  Looking to Him and acknowledging Him in all things is to hope which is to know the abiding never failing power of God in our lives.   O love the  Lord , all ye his saints: for the  Lord  preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the  Lord .  -  Psalm 31: 23-24   Behold, the eye of the  Lord  is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; - Psalm 22:18 For in thee, O  Lord , do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. - Psalm 38:15 My hope, my confidence is i

Can't Give Up Now...

Mark 5:25-28 King James Version (KJV) 25  And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. Dear Friends, The woman had tried everything. No doubt she kept being referred to different "specialists" as we read many physicians. Yet, she was not getting better.  She heard about a man name Jesus and decided to "try him." Her faith was so strong based on the testimonies given by others that she believed if she could just touch his garment she would be made whole. Don't give up. Keep pressing your way. Just can't give up now. Jesus can make the most broken life whole again. in Christ, Sis. Stephanie 29  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dri

When the Time Comes...

John 16 King James Version (KJV) 16  These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3  And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4  But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. 5  But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? 6  But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. 7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8  And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9  Of sin, bec

Isaiah 9:6-7 King James Version (KJV) 6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the  Lord  of hosts will perform this. U is for Unto: Unto You Is Born

Luke 2:1-14 King James Version (KJV) 2  And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 2  (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glor

S is for Stand: Stand in the Path

Jeremiah 6:16 King James Version (KJV) 16  Thus saith the  Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Dear Friends, Many of us are familiar with the expression, "don't throw the baby out with the bath water."  So many times these days in churches and among Christians I hear about getting rid of the old way and the tradition.  Yet, I read in Jeremiah 6:16 that the Lord has something else to say.  Sometimes we need to stand still and wait on the Lord.  Most of our churches are have many generations represented  and because of that we need to be very mindful that God is concerned about each and every soul from the youngest to the eldest.   What some call tradition I contend that God calls order.  God is a God of order. Thus saith the  Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good
