He Hides My Soul - Week of September 23, 2018

He Hideth my Soul (Refrain) by Fanny Crosby: Creative Ladies Ministry

"Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings." - Psalms 17:8

Dear Friends,

When the struggles of life threaten to weigh us down, we have a Hiding Place.  God will keep us. God will revive us. God will restore us. The Lord never leaves us faltering in the dark.  His Word illuminates our path.

God is Our Hiding Place - Stephanie D.K. Tyus @2018

God is our hiding place
The Lord is our shelter from the storm
He faithfully keeps His promises
Never does He leave us alone

He hides my soul.
He restores my soul.
He mends the broken heart
He hears my prayers
He answers them
Lord! How Great Thou Art

I trust in God
He abides with me
He orders my every step
He fills my cup
He leads me on
When I have nothing left

You cannot make me doubt the Lord
I know Him for myself
I honor Him, I worship Him.
God is above all else

Holy, Holy, Holy
To Him I owe my life
He sent His Son Jesus
He gave the ultimate sacrifice

God is
Our Hiding Place
The Lord is
Our shelter from the storm
He faithfully keeps His promises
Never does He leave us alone

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
