When God Teaches Bible Study - Week of November 18, 20l8

Psalm 119:64-65 King James Version (KJV)

64 The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word.

Dear Friends,
Sometimes it happens when you are alone in the car driving.  It can happen in the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. You can be in the midst of a crowd and feel as though you are having an out of body experience.  It can happen in a dream or even a daydream.  The experience may last seconds, minutes or longer.
Wherever, you are, whatever the duration of the encounter the lesson will be unmistakable -- When God teaches Bible Study.
I was having this conversation with my daughter.  God through the person of the Holy Spirit has promised:
  • But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  - John 14:26
Sometimes we need lessons that are personal. Individual tutoring sessions that capture our attention.  The Holy Spirit will speak to us.  He will line up specific verses in our memory to remind us of what God has spoken and instruct us to apply it to our circumstances.  He will guide us in truth when the enemy is trying to distract us through deceit.
When God teaches Bible study, the words  "I will never leave you or forsake you" illuminate the soul from the inside out.
The Holy Ghost is Our Teacher and He will teach us, instruct us in the way we should go.
As the hymn writer penned:
  • Come Holy Spirit we need you now.
When God teaches Bible Study...what a time...what a time.

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
