Troubleshooting... Week of December 16, 2018

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 King James Version (KJV)

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Dear Friends,
For a couple of weeks I'd been experiencing problems with connecting to the Internet.  Frustrating! The computer or cell phone would connect and then disconnect.  There were some sites I could not access.  I was determined not to be outdone.  Control Panel visits became the daily norm.  I doubted myself. Had I pushed a wrong button or unchecked a box in error. Futile were my efforts to correct the problem.  Finally, I made the necessary call to get help.  The problem could not be resolved over the phone.  Therefore, a technician was scheduled to come out.  In 30 minutes Joel fixed the problem. I needed a new modem box. I simply needed updated equipment and I was back in business.
How often do we because of pride or stubbornness try to troubleshoot our own problems.  Instead of starting with the Lord, making the call in the first place, we try it our way only to realize once again, The Lord is the Way. I realized something from my recent computer mishap.  Trying to solve my own problem was exhausting and I felt unsupported in my efforts.  I thought I had the skill to get it done and ignored my daughter when she kept saying, "Maybe you should call someone."
II Corinthians 4:9 is one of my favorite Scriptures.  Praise God for reminding me through the Holy Spirit that despair is not His will for me.  God does not want us to be stressed.  Perfect peace can be ours if we focus on the Lord and hold fast to our faith no matter the circumstance.  Let hide the Word in our hearts and look to the Lord for troubleshooting.

We have this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We are troubled on every side,
YET
not distressed; we are perplexed,
BUT
not in despair;
Persecuted,
BUT
not forsaken;
cast down,
but not destroyed;

God bless!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

  1. Amen to witnessing & realuzing God's plan when you "let go & let God" handle something as minute' as the solution to a computer problem🎉 Won't He do it! Pastor talked about the truck driver today who fought against changing a "known" route for a spiritual/gut route & realized later WHY his direction was changed! I have experienced that same voice in my mind & later qas shown the light! What a revelation it is when it all comes together. My Dad was a Pastor for 59 years & he always told us "You know WHERE you've been but not WHERE you're going, only God knows & your trust must be in Him🎉 How true that statement is. The older you are blessed to become, the more it is a reality. Praise God for his Goodness & Mercy💝

THANKFULLY

  Philippians 1:3   “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,” Wherever you are today, I thank God for you. Family, friends and all. I thank God. I praise God for allowing our lives to intersect in some way. May this day and every day be filled with gratitude. I pray that grace and peace abound.  Let mercy and grace be multiplied. Thankfully, the Lord God has brought us, from a mighty long way. God bless✨  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

SHIFT KEY

  1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”  It all depends on how you look at it. What’s your focus? Is the picture clear or blurry? Do you need to crop the photo for a better view? A little shift in focus can be key.  Shifting the way you look at things can make a big difference.  I am looking at the shift key on my keyboard. I have options. Lower case or uppercase. Numerical or special characters. Failure to shift correctly can cause denied access because my password is not recognized. Shift is key. Some things can be better understood if we take the time to change our focus.  Zoom in on what really matters.  Stop looking at things that appear  insurmountable. Instead shift your focus. Look at God. The view is breathtaking when I look up. I see Jesus. He sees me. I am shifting my focus. Eyes lifted up. I see where my help comes from. My help comes from the Lord. The Lord who

Through the Eyes of Faith ...By Grace

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of work, lest anyone should boast.   - Ephesians 2:8-9  “Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise for it was grace that bought my liberty. I don’t know why He chose to love me so. He looked beyond my faults and saw my needs.”  So much has happened since the last time I “saw” you. The changing circumstances of the journey have been stabilized by an Unchanging God.   Journey on my sisters and brothers. Bask in the knowledge that unfailing mercy and sufficient grace surround you.   Grace makes new beginnings possible. We can begin again. The time is now. The choice? It’s yours. Yours for the asking.  Through the eyes of faith…we see Jesus.  God bless! In Christ,  Sis. Stephanie
