In An Orderly Fashion - Week of February 24, 2019

Psalm 50:23   King James Version (KJV) 23  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. Dear Friends, Several years ago I found myself in a place of chaos.  I remember sitting on my bed surrounded by papers and in exasperation I cried out Lord please "order it" for me.  I just continued to repeat this over and over.  Lord "order it."  All of it. I was not just concerned about my steps but I wanted God to order all of my life.  Order it Lord.  Ordered thoughts.  Ordered family.  Ordered conversation.  Order me.  Set it right Lord.  Fix it Jesus.  Please line things up.  Father God straighten things out.   I am at the end of myself and I cannot do it. I cannot move.  I cannot think straight.  Things are not going to get done.  God just order it for me.   In an orderly fashion, step by step and situation by situation God is putting things in order for me.  Through His Word He lea

Standing on Jesus Christ the Solid Rock - Week of February 17, 2019

Psalm 71:2-4   King James Version (KJV) 2  Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. 3  Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. 4  Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. Dear Friends, There is an old saying: "...caught between a rock and a hard place." But what does the Word say about it. Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ is The Rock . The Solid Rock.  I submit to you that as believers, we never have to be caught between a rock and a hard place. When times are hard, burdens seem unbearable and mountains appear insurmountable,  stand on Christ.  Jesus Christ is The Solid Rock.  When troubles surround, stand on The Rock.  When you are misunderstood, cling to The Word of God. On Christ the Solid Rock, stand.                     On Christ the

God Is Just...He Is Good..He Is True - Week of February 10, 2019

Dear Friends, I was thinking about the expression "just to good to be true."  People including myself often use this expression when something seems so flawless that we doubt that it could be real.  Too perfect.  Yet, as with many thoughts and phrases, when you run them all together and do not stop to ponder what is being repeated, cliches are created. The Holy Spirit has a way of slowing us down. He has a way of making us consider our thoughts, words and actions and their potential impact. I can hear in my spirit: God is Just . God is Good . God is True.   Always just. Always good.  Always true.  God. Just. Good. True .  Our God is. Righteous Faithful Merciful Just Good True God is Just.   Always. God is Good .  Always. God is True.    Always. I trust in God. in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A Story Behind Every Song,,,Week of February 3, 2019

Daniel 2:22-24   King James Version (KJV) 22  He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. 23  I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. 24  Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation. Dear Friends, Last week I had the opportunity to view two DVDs: Amazing Grace: 5 Hymns That Changed the World and I Can Only Imagine (The Song You Know the Story You Don't). I highly recommend both.  They are informative and uplifting.  The films are reminders of the stories that inspire the many spiritual songs and hymns that encourage our hearts and feed our
