Standing on Jesus Christ the Solid Rock - Week of February 17, 2019

Psalm 71:2-4 King James Version (KJV)

2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Dear Friends,
There is an old saying: "...caught between a rock and a hard place." But what does the Word say about it. Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ is The Rock. The Solid Rock.  I submit to you that as believers, we never have to be caught between a rock and a hard place.
When times are hard, burdens seem unbearable and mountains appear insurmountable,  stand on Christ.  Jesus Christ is The Solid Rock.  When troubles surround, stand on The Rock.  When you are misunderstood, cling to The Word of God. On Christ the Solid Rock, stand.
                    On Christ the Solid Rock I stand all other ground
                    is sinking sand.  All other ground is sinking sand.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
