Daniel 2:22-24 King James Version (KJV)
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
Dear Friends,
Last week I had the opportunity to view two DVDs: Amazing Grace: 5 Hymns That Changed the World and I Can Only Imagine (The Song You Know the Story You Don't). I highly recommend both. They are informative and uplifting. The films are reminders of the stories that inspire the many spiritual songs and hymns that encourage our hearts and feed our spirits.
Just as with songs there is a story that drives the testimonies that build our lives. We are told in Psalms 90:9b "...we spend our years as a tale that is told."
Many times we hear or recite what has become cliche for many: "You don't know my story." Often times people don't care what your story is they are too busy living out their own. Yet, there are other times in our lives when God opens windows or doors. He builds platforms to allow us to share our stories, our testimonies to bring glory to Him. He gives us the privilege to be lights shining in a dark world. Illuminate! Shine! Sparkle! Glow! All to the glory of Jesus Christ.
One songwriter penned it this way: "This is my story. This is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long."
God bless!
In Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
