Trouble in My Way - Week of April 28, 2019

Isaiah 43:1-3a 43  But now thus saith the  Lord  that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3  For I am the  Lord  thy God, the Holy One of Israel... Dear Friends, The Internet was down.  There were things I needed to research.  Work related tasks to be completed.  One moment it was working and then the trouble came. Calls were made and troubleshooting was done over the phone.  Appointments were scheduled for repair.  However, no one came.  Trouble in my way.   Why cry about the Internet.  No need to complain about an interruption in schedule.  Frustrating.  Trouble.   Yet, as the day went on I could not help but  praise the Lord.  Why?   I do n

Walking on Water - Week of April 21, 2019

Matthew 14:28-30   King James Version (KJV) 28  And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30  But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. Today we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Bless the Wonderful Name Jesus. Because He lives we can stand on the assurance that we live also.  Presently and for eternity.  Jesus paid it all.  The account has been settled. Jesus said, "I am the way."  He told us, "follow me." He proclaimed, "I am the Resurrection and the Life."  He declared, "I and my Father are one."  He invites us, "Come unto me."  He instructs us, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Right now just as with Peter the Lord extends the invitati

John 1:15-17   King James Version (KJV) 15  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.                         All to Him I Owe -sdktyus@2019 All to Him the Savior, everything I owe Mercy, grace and truth provided even when I did not know Know that I was in need of salvation grand and free I was lost but Jesus found me and sacrificed His life for me All to the Blessed Savior  My life, my hopes my dreams Jesus Holy Master paid the debt for me Peace, love and joyfulness I find in Christ alone All to Him, everything to Him, I say to the Lord I owe I have no money no gift to give to repay Him for His love I bring myself tattered though I am and He makes me whole again I have a light that I can shine, the light Jesu

Wounded for Us... Week of April 7, 2019

Isaiah 53:5-6   King James Version (KJV) 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the  Lord  hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Dear Friends, He was wounded for us.  Personally.   The knowledge that the Son of God was wounded for our transgressions is breath taking.  The wrong we have done, wounded for us.  The sins we commit, wounded for us.  The future transgressions , handled, wounded for us.    Jesus was wounded for us.   The peace we often forfeit. The peace we pursue.  The chastisement of our peace,  the Savior bore.  Jesus. The Great Physician. The stripes He endured secured our healing.  Healer. Jesus. Deliverer. Jesus.  Way Maker. Jesus.  He is our All and All.  Although, we wander away from Him at times.  Like sheep we  go astray.  We wander when we for
