Wounded for Us... Week of April 7, 2019

Isaiah 53:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Dear Friends,

He was wounded for us.  Personally.   The knowledge that the Son of God was wounded for our transgressions is breath taking.

The wrong we have done, wounded for us.  The sins we commit, wounded for us.  The future transgressions, handled, wounded for us.   Jesus was wounded for us.

The peace we often forfeit. The peace we pursue.  The chastisement of our peace,  the Savior bore.  Jesus. The Great Physician. The stripes He endured secured our healing.  Healer. Jesus. Deliverer. Jesus.  Way Maker. Jesus.  He is our All and All.

Although, we wander away from Him at times.  Like sheep we  go astray.  We wander when we forget that His ways are above our own.  His "way" surpasses any path we try to carve out.  God, rich in mercy is forgiving.  All of our iniquity forgiven as we accept His great gift.  Wounded for us.  Praise His Holy Name.

  •  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
  •  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

                       - Hebrews 2:9-10 King James Version (KJV)

Father God,

We thank you for the gift of Your Son.  We thank you for the sacrifice made on our behalf.  Mighty God, we lift Your Name on high. God in Three Persons. Blessed Trinity.  We magnify You.  Glory to God in the Highest.

Jesus.  He was wounded for us.

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
