Summer Serenity

Psalms 118:24

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Growing up we referred to all of the summer holidays as “barbecue day.”

Barbecue days meant gathering at my grandmother’s house, also known as “the other house”

Grama made the best bbq sauce.

The bbq pit was huge built by family for family.

There was always enough.

Homemade ice cream churned in the afternoon.

The memories of music playing on the record player…

Kick ball games…

Line dancing…

Singing…

Storytelling…

On barbecue days we rejoiced as a family and we were glad.

God bless.🌸✨

In Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

THANKFULLY

Philippians 1:3   “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,” Wherever you are today, I thank God for you. Family, friends and all. I thank God. I praise God for allowing our lives to intersect in some way. May this day and every day be filled with gratitude. I pray that grace and peace abound.  Let mercy and grace be multiplied. Thankfully, the Lord God has brought us, from a mighty long way. God bless✨  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

My, My, My

Luke 1:46b “My soul doth magnify the Lord,” My, my, my Such were my thoughts this morning as I looked out of my window at the sunrise. The Lord in His Majestic power has ordered another day. Waking up with the ability to see, to hear, and to speak. Graced with mercy to walk and talk. The Lord continues to bless and to keep. I did not wake up without aches and pains. Carefree and without challenges is not an entry on my schedule. Yet, my soul doth magnify the Lord. The Lord has given me another day to live another opportunity to serve. My, my, my.  God bless.🌸✨  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A MIND STAYED ON JESUS

Proverbs 23:7a “ For as he thinketh in his heart, so  is  he:  Woke up this mornin' with my mind, my mind was stayed on Jesus. Woke up this mornin' with my mind, my mind was stayed on Jesus. Woke up this mornin' with my mind, my mind was stayed on Jesus. Hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah. It is true this morning I woke up with my mind on Jesus. Throughout the night the Holy Spirit gave me songs. Songs of faith. Songs of encouragement. Songs to propel me to “keep on keeping on.” He gave me songs to underline scripture.  “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty. Early in the morning my song shall rise to Thee.” “Holy is Your Name. Holy is Your Name  Holy is Your Name in all the earth.” “Bless the Lord. O my soul. And all that is within me. Bless His Holy Name.” The Holy Spirit took me a little further. “Said I wasn’t gonna tell nobody but I just couldn’t keep it to myself, what the Lord has done for me.” Hold on! “Please be patient with me. God is not through with me yet.” Through t
