WAIT FOR THE ANSWER

Lamentations 3:26 “ It is  good that  a man  should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” Waiting for An Answer  - sdktyus @2023 Waiting for an answer. Seeking God in prayer. Going to a place alone. Knowing the Lord will meet me there.  Seeking for more wisdom. Asking for more faith. Standing on His promises. Praising Him for His Grace. Trusting God to lead me. His will and way He will make plain Not my will but Thine be done  I ask it all in Jesus Name.  God bless✨  in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A PLACE TO LAY HIS HEAD

Matthew 8:20 “And Jesus saith unto him,  The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air  have  nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay  his  head. ” As a young girl I heard a sermon where the preacher said  Jesus didn’t have a place to lay His head.  Now I am sure the preacher said more than that.  But the thought that stayed with me was that  Jesus didn’t have a house,  a bed,  or even a pillow.  At least this is the narrative I created in my mind. I thought, I have these things.  Poor Jesus.  People are treating Him so bad. When I went to bed that night  I slept on the edge of the bed,  on the edge of the pillow.  I told Jesus He could lay His head on my pillow. A child’s heart. I know the Lord remembers the “me” of yesteryears. I came to realize that the residence the Lord seeks is a willing heart. If we abide in Him,  He will abide in us. A willing heart. A place to lay His head....

TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR

Psalms 147:4 “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by  their  names.” I am fascinated by the stars in the sky. The sparkling little lights are so beautiful.  Of all the Christmas decorations,  lights are my favorites. I especially like the white lights. White lights, reminders of the stars. The wise men followed a star and it led them to Jesus.  Jesus, the Bright and Morning Star. I wonder if stars are sometimes considered less important because they are so tiny. The sun shines.  The moon glows. And the stars, well, they are magnificent in their twinkling. The Bible tells us that God counts them. He calls them all by their names. Likewise, He recognizes each of our “lights”shining in a dark world. Let us continue to twinkle. Let us rise and sparkle. Let us show up and glow. Let us keep on letting our little lights shine. Each one of us “counts”to God. He knows each of us by name. God bless✨  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

GOD MEANT IT FOR MY GOOD

Genesis50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me;  but  God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as  it is  this day, to save much people alive.” There are things in our life that appear as stumbling blocks. They can be put there in the workplace, in our community, and even in families. Stumbling blocks were placed in Joseph’s life largely because of the jealousy of his brothers. There is a saying that stumbling blocks can become stepping stones.  You need to watch your step however.  Pay attention to where you are headed. Let the Spirit of the Lord guide you. God will take those things meant to harm you and work them to your advantage. He creates blessings out of brokenness. The Word of God declares  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose .” - Romans 8:28 God meant it for my good. GOLDEN MOMENTS

Psalms 56:13   “For thou hast delivered my soul from death:  wilt not   thou deliver my  feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?” “I thank God for allowing my golden moments to roll on a little while longer.” “Those of you who know the words of prayer, pray for me.” “You don’t know like I know what the Lord has done for me.” These are words I heard during testimony services throughout the years. I wondered about the golden moments.  I thought don’t all Christians know the words of prayer… I agree that no one could know all that the Lord had done for someone else.  It was also true that “all” could not be told during one service.  I relish the opportunity to tell others about the goodness of God. I appreciate the prayers of others. I praise God for the life I have.  Praise Him for the air I breathe.  I praise Him for a color filled existence. White hair.  Blue skies. Grey clouds. Golden moments. I ...

MIDNIGHT HOUR

Acts 16:25 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.” It’s almost midnight. Whatever the time, prayer is always in order.  It doesn’t have to be long.  No need for formality.  Just heartfelt communication  with the All Wise God. It’s me It’s me  It’s me O Lord Standing in the need of prayer.  God bless✨  In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A GOOD MYSTERY

1 Corinthians 15:51 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,” I love to watch mysteries. However, I enjoy the shows where you are assured of the case being resolved. Monk and Matlock are two of my favorites. I also like to read mystery novels. Looking at the scripture in  1 Corinthians, it is encouraging because we are given the resolution of the mystery.  Salvation provided the solution to the mystery.  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.         Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! Case closed!                          God bless         ...
