"Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."
- Hebrews 13:1-3 KJV
Dear Friend,
There have been times in my life when people have crossed my path suddenly. They seemed to just "come out of nowhere." There was the man in the fast food restaurant some years ago that came in while my mother and I were there. He diffused a potentially volatile situation just by his presence. It was such a unusual encounter. I remember watching as
he walked out the door. I then walked to the door to look out after him. All at once snowflakes started to fall, but I did not see him anywhere! I told my mother, there is no where he could have gone! I think he was an angel!
There was the time I was in a car accident and was hit from behind. I should have been propelled into the intersection. I heard a loud sound and turned my head not fully realizing I had been hit. I looked again and there was a small red car in front of me. I know the car was not there before. A man got out unharmed. His car prevented me from going into the intersection. I told him that I heard a sound and a looked back. He asked: " You looked back while you were driving?" I was startled. He made no further comment. I stood outside waiting to see if passengers in other cars were okay. A little while later I looked around and the man and the little red car were gone.
On both of these occasions I believe that the strangers I entertained were angels. The one was remarkable by his presence. Standing in the midst of chaos I believe that he was sent to mark peace. I was not aware of it until afterwards. The lingering question at the scene of the accident "You looked back while you were driving?" has often replayed in my life experience. Look ahead on this journey. Remember to stay focused! Pay attention to what is happening! Look for your deliverance. Most importantly do not second guess God! His Word is true. It is everlasting. Angels are not make believe. They are real... to be touched by an angel is to entertain a member of the heavenly host it is to be reminded of how very much God loves you:
"But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" - Hebrews 1:13:14
God bless!
Sis. Stephanie
