We Acknowledge Your Presence Lord

"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."       - I Peter 5:5-7 Dear Friends, Many people say experience is the best teacher.  Yet, the truth is, the Holy Spirit is the Master Teacher. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall  teach   you   all  things , and bring  all   things  to  you r remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto  you ."    - St. John 14:26 The Holy Spirit often works through others to remind us of the goodness of God.  He uses preachers and teachers to deliver the Word.  He sends Christian friends and brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage us in our walk with the Lord.  He guid

Tell Me Something Good

"  A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver."    - Proverbs 25:11 Dear Friends, What a visual when we close our eyes and imagine apples of gold in pictures of silvers. Silver and gold, there is something majestic about the combination. What do we say to this comparing and contrasting of right words to form this magnificent visual in Proverbs 25:11?   Words, right words, words spoken in season have lasting impact.  Choose your words carefully. One of my favorite Bible verses is found in the book of James:  "Swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath..."      (James 1:19) Caution needs to be exercised before opening our mouths.  Likewise, discretion needs to be exercised in determining what words we receive in our spirit. Attacks from the enemy often come through the words of other people.  Those whom the Lord sends come with truth and life.  This does not mean the message is always pleasant but it is always meant to build

Believe God. Believe God. Believe God!

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.   For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:   That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." - Romans 8:1-4 Dear Friends, There is No condemnation To them Which are in Christ Jesus Believe God The Spirit of life In Christ Jesus Hath made me FREE From the law of sin and death Believe God For what the law could not do In that it was weak through the flesh GOD sending HIS OWN SON Condemned sin in the flesh Believe God That the righteousness of the law Might be FULFILLED IN US Who walk not after the flesh But A

I Shall Get Home Someday

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - St. Matthew 6:33 Dear Friends, Keep heaven in view. God bless, Sis. Stephanie

Don't Wait Till the Trouble Comes

" Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the  Lord  hath spoken.   Give glory to the  Lord  your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.   But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the  Lord 's flock is carried away captive."     -  Jeremiah 3:15-17 Dear Friends, One of the last things my grandmother told me before she passed away was: "Don't wait till the trouble comes to pray.  You pray all the time."  I remember she was pointing her finger at me as she said it.  On her dying bed my grandmother admonished me about praying.  I have not always heeded this advice. When we we are in trouble it is easy to cry out for Mercy Lord, Mercy.  The Bible tells us however, to pray without ceasing. Pray in

Send Us Your Light O Lord

"Send  me  your light and your faithful care, let them  lead  me ; let them bring  me  to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell."     - Psalm 43:3  (NIV) Dear Friends, The sun can be shining bright as day and yet clouds can darken our day.  For those who experience depression this is what many days can look like.  Perhaps, that is you today my brother or sister.  Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Lifter of Our Head. "Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O  Lord , art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.   I cried unto the  Lord  with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah."          - Psalm 3:2-4 God will send out His light and faithful care.  He will lead through any storm.  His faithful care is the sanctuary where the weary soul can find relief from any care. Our prayer today:  "Send us Your light O Lord. in Jesus name we pray.  Amen."

The Excellent, Majestic Power of the Lord Jesus Christ

Psalm 8 King James Version (KJV) 8  O  Lord , our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3  When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8  The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9  O  Lord  our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Dear Friends, May you walk in the excellent, maje

Still Praising God

Psalm 146 King James Version (KJV) 146  Praise ye the  Lord . Praise the  Lord , O my soul. 2  While I live will I praise the  Lord : I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. 3  Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4  His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. 5  Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the  Lord  his God: 6  Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: 7  Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The  Lord  looseth the prisoners: 8  The  Lord  openeth the eyes of the blind: the  Lord  raiseth them that are bowed down: the  Lord  loveth the righteous: 9  The  Lord  preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. 10  The  Lord  shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zio

Pray, Trust and Believe

"Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my  pray er."    -Psalm 4:1 Dear Friends, When you feel you just can't go on... remember to: pray, trust and believe. Pray " My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O  Lord ; in the morning will I direct my  pray er unto thee, and will look up." - Psalm 5:3 Trust" Trust   in   the   Lord   with   all  thine  heart ; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In   all  thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6 Believe " And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.  And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.   Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Living, Moving and Being in the Lord

" Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the  Lord  your God..."     - Joel 2:23 cf Dear Friends, No matter how dark the day may seem we always have a reason to praise the Lord.   "For in him we live,  and   move ,  and   have   our   being ; as certain also of your own poets  have  said, For we are also his offspring." - Acts 17:28 We live, praise the Lord We move, praise the Lord We have our being, praise the Lord " Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the  Lord  your God..."     - Joel 2:23 cf in Christ, Sis. Remember...Only What You Do For Christ Will Last

19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. - St. Matthew 6:19-21 Dear Friends, "Only what we do for Him will be counted in the end.  Remember,ONLY what we do for Christ, ONLY what we do for Christ, ONLY what we do for Christ will last." God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Are You a Good Neighbor?

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?  26  He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?  27  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.  28  And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.  29  But he, willing to justify himself, said unt Jesus, And who is my neighbour?  30  And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.  31  And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.  32  And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.  33  But a certain Samaritan, as he jour
