Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

When I look back over my life I marvel at the goodness of God. I think about how naive I was. I was full of pride and could be very hard headed. In many ways my naivety remains. I can still be prideful and hard headed. But God. God has been merciful. I recognize my many shortcomings. I see that but for the goodness of God I would have no hope.
Songs I used to sing, standards, the old hymns, I sang because that is what we did growing up in church. But God. He has blessed my soul and instructed my spirit. When the songs of the past are sung now, all of me is reaching to achieve melodious praise: “Then sings my soul...O Lord how great Thou Art.”
I pray Lord God remember me for thy goodness sake. When I look back and remember just how good You have been...I cry thank you. Thank you Lord for remembering me.
