The Lord Our Help and Shield

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. 

Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord : he is their help and their shield.     - Psalm 115:1-8,11 

Heavenly Father,

We thank and praise You and glorify Your Name. Today we come in bold approach to Your Throne in the Name of Jesus Christ. The Lord Our Help and Shield. 

You have instructed us in Your Word to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Our hearts weep and mourn with those who are grieving. We pray for those who have lost loved ones to violence. We pray for those who are suffering and feel forgotten and alone. 

Father God we thank You for so loving us that You gave Your Only Son to redeem us. We ask that You would enable us to share Your love through shining the light entrusted to us. 

You are Our Help. You are Our Shield. Help us to stand on Your Faithful promises. 

Thank you for hearing our prayer. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I’ll Go With You

  Isaiah 41:10   “Fear thou not; for I  am  with thee: be not dismayed; for I  am  thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” “Jesus said if you go I’ll go with you.” Butterflies in my stomach  A racing heart  I do not want to attend the meeting  I wish I could cancel the appointment  I don’t want to talk about it Over “it” I don’t think I can do this  BUT GOD He reminds me that of course, I cannot accomplish even the most mundane tasks on my own  He assures me day by day that He is with me  He builds me up He orders my steps  He speaks peace to my soul  He renews my heart  Do not be afraid  You belong to Me I’ve got you I am holding you in My mighty hands  Go!
