My Lord and My God

Isaiah 25:1 King James Version (KJV) 25  O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Dear Friends, I thank the Lord for He is God. O Lord thou art my God.  It is because He is God and God Alone that I will exalt Him.  I will praise His name.  The Lord God has done wonderful things.   He gave us life He sent His Son to die for us There is redemption through the blood of Christ God is Righteous God is Merciful God is Holy I thank the Lord for He is God He has given us hope He is the Living Water He is the Bread of Life He guides, teaches and comforts us through His Holy Spirit He is Our Protector I thank the Lord for He is God If I had a thousand tongues I could not thank Him enough He saved my soul He has given me my family He has clothed me in my right mind He has done great things I thank the Lord for He is ...

In the Morning When I Rise...

Psalm 55:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16  As for me, I will call upon God; and the  Lord  shall save me. 17  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Dear Friends, Father God, Before the break of day I need the presence of the Holy Spirit for I realize that no alarm clock can wake me but only a touch from the Lord.  I need the power of God to move for it is in Him I have life.  Lord God before day breaks, give me Jesus. At the start of the day, give me Jesus. I need the Lord to lead and guide me throughout the day. I need him to guide my thoughts and actions and govern my tongue. In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.  When it gets rough and I cannot see my way Father God send Your Holy Spirit. I know that all power rests in the hands of Your Precious Son. He has promised never to forsake me. Through the meditation on Your Word renew my strength. Give me Jesus. Thank you Lord. ...

Above the Brightness of the Sun...

Acts 26:12-14 King James Version (KJV) 12  Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13  At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14  And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Dear Friends, There is a place above the brightness of the sun.  It this place, you might find "Your Damascus Road."  Like Saul, in the life of every born again believer there is a moment of acceptance, a place on life's journey, where the Holy Spirit knocks on the door of our hearts. We make a choice to accept the invitation to invite the Lord into our lives as Savior and King.  This is the beginning of the unclouded day. This is the start of our pathway home.  Heaven is...

Walk in the Newness of Life...

Romans 6:3-4 King James Version (KJV) 3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Dear Friend, One songwriter has penned: Glory, glory, hallelujah since I laid my burdens down... I feel better so much better since I laid my burden down... Burdens down Lord, burdens down, since I laid my down... In baptism burdens are laid down. Buried.  The old self baptized into Jesus Christ, into his death.  But praise God. Jesus did not stay buried HE ROSE. He rose in the newness of life.  As followers of Christ, we have been raised from the dead by the glory of Father.  What should we do?  WALK IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE.  In Christ we have new life and by the grace of God our life is renewed day by day. Lament...

So Will I Comfort You...

Isaiah 66:12-13 King James Version (KJV) 12  For thus saith the  Lord , Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. 13  As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Dear Friends, My mother would have been eighty years old today.  When I review the snapshots of Ma in my mind, she is always the beautiful lady that people often told me looked more like my sister than my mother.  She fulfilled the role of mother faithfully, lovingly and with grace.  My mother's presence was comforting.  Comforting because she was always a source of encouragement even in times of discipline.  There is not one memory I have of any interaction with my mother where I questioned whether she loved me. I know love was her motivation.  That my friends is a blessing. I...

God Be With You Till We Meet Again...

Psalm 84:1-7 King James Version (KJV) 84  How amiable are thy tabernacles, O  Lord  of hosts! 2  My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the  Lord : my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. 3  Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O  Lord  of hosts, my King, and my God. 4  Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. 5  Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. 6  Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. 7  They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. Dear Friends, The hymn God Be With You Till We Meet Again is being listed today in hopes that it will be encouraging.  Whether the next time we meet a loved one is tomorrow for lunch, at ...
