"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
- II 3:14-15
Dear Friends,
There are many things that have changed in the world and are continuing to change. Some change is for the better. Some change works to the detriment of a people or situation. Some change is necessary. Some change serves no apparent purpose.
As Christians in an ever changing world what should our position be? What then shall we say to these "things?"
The Word instructs us:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:28-31
All things are not good. Yet, no matter what, who, when, where or how things/change comes about the scriptures teach us that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
There was a time when I would panic over situations that seemed so big and say Lord what is this? How is this? I can't believe this? Why is this? Who is this?
I have learned that I don't have to panic. The trying of my faith has taught me patience. "Be still and know that He is God." (Psalms 46:10)
This is what we must continue to do as we press forward in our Christian walk, we must KNOW THAT HE IS GOD! He is God alone. As the deacons of my childhood would say: "He sits high and looks low, nothing escapes His attention."
This is to be continued...trusting God to work on our behalf, knowing that He will perfect that which concerns us.
"The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."
- Psalms 138:8
Remember:
"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" II Timothy 3:14-16
Amen and God bless!

"We've come this far by faith leaning on the Lord, trusting in His Holy Word. He's never failed me yet. Oh, can't turn around. He's never failed me yet."
