Look Up...Look to the Lord Who Dwells on High

Psalm 121 King James Version (KJV) 121  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2  My help cometh from the  Lord , which made heaven and earth. Dear Friends,  Look up!  Look to the Lord Who dwells on high! Sometimes the mountains we face appear to be too high, insurmountable.  The Psalmist does not say "get to climbing!"  The Word says "look up."   Look to the Lord. He is able to take us up high mountains. He is able to remove mountains. He can  enable us to climb the mountains.Whatever is needed to meet the challenge, to accomplish His will, the Lord will provide. Look up!  Look to the Lord Who dwells on high! God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

I Will...I Will...I Will Praise His Word

Psalm 56:4 King James Version (KJV) 4  In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Dear Friends, Why do I praise God's Word?  It is because His Word is Faithful. God's Word is Worthy.  God's Word is Life. It is in His Word that I find solace, safety and peace and the strength to go on. The same Word of God has always been. St. John 1:1 tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  Jesus, the Word of God. I will praise His Word. I have put my trust in Jesus, in the Word. I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Glory to God! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Lord Thank You for Remembering Me....

Each day we are creating memories. We build memories with our families, on our jobs, communities and in places where we may not even realize we are leaving a footprint. As Christians may we strive to create memories that lend favor and offer praise to Christ Our King. In all we say and do let us remember we represent the Greatest of All. Jesus. Sunday School Lesson: "Pervasive Love"

Jonah 4:1-11 (KJV) 1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. 2 And he prayed unto the Lord , and said, I pray thee, O Lord , was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. 3 Therefore now, O Lord , take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. 4 Then said the Lord , Doest thou well to be angry? 5 So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city. 6 And the Lord God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. 7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd t

I Will Fear No Evil ...My Shepherd Walks With Me

Psalm 23:4 King James Version (KJV) 4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Dear Friends, Death is only a shadow for those who know the Lord as their Shepherd. He is my Shepherd.  In the valley of the shadow the Lord has been with me.  The sufficiency of His grace has kept me when loved ones who knew the Lord as Shepherd have gone to be with Him.  The Shepherd sustains.  The Shepherd has healing in His wings.  It is the staff and the rod of the Shepherd, His Word that gives comfort. Through the valley and the shadow of death when I walk there The Lord My Shepherd walks with me. God bless you! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

The Lord My Shepherd Leads Me

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." - Psalm 23:2 Dear Friends. What a blessing it is to know that as a child of the King we are not left to wander on our own.  We have a Leader.  We have a Guide. We have a Captain. We have a Gate Keeper.  Jesus is always looking out for us.  The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us.   When we are weary and it seems as though life is just to much to bear Our Shepherd the Lord makes us to lie down in green pastures. The burdens are too heavy just as the heaviness of wool on a sheep.  He calms the water and leads us beside raging floods that he has stilled.  Praise God.  The Lord My Shepherd leads me. God bless you! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Sunday School Lesson - "Forgiving Love"

Jonah 3:1-10 (KJV) 1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying, 2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. 3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord . Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. 4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: 8 But let man and

I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say: Come Unto Me and Rest...

Ephesians 5:18-20 King James Version (KJV) 18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Dear Friends, Sometimes it is just good to talk to yourself, remind yourself of where the Lord has brought your from and how He brought you to this place.  When I reflect back on my early years in the church I remember attending Sunday School, Missionary Society meetings and morning and evening services.  I remember the Deacons singing hymns during devotion and I remember the processional of the choir.   Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs... I offer one today in hopes that the words will offer encouragement and reflection: I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say ... By H. Bonar (1808-1889) Meter: C.M.D. I heard the voice of Jesus

Rejoice With Those Who Rejoice...Weep With Those Who Weep

Romans 12:12-15 King James Version (KJV) 12  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13  Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14  Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15  Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Dear Friends, Rejoice in hope Knowing God keeps His promises.  Be patient in tribulation Knowing God keeps His Word. Continuing instant in prayer His Word tells us to pray and not to faint Distributing to the necessity of the saints God expects us to look out for one another Bless them which persecute you. Bless! Do good even when others wrong you. Rejoice with those who rejoice Praise God for the blessing of others Weep with those who weep Never be so busy that you cannot reach out and extend comfort to those who need it. God bless you! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

When You Can't See Your Way, God Can

Acts 20:22-24 King James Version (KJV) 22  And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23  Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24  But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Dear Friends, There are times in life when the road ahead is foggy and the path is unclear.  We have faith, we trust God and still we find ourselves stuck in one place.   Stuck because we cannot see our way.  Be encouraged in your faith today knowing this:  When you can't see your way God can! God bless you. in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Take God At His Word...Press On

Deuteronomy 4:1-7 King James Version (KJV) 4  Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the  Lord  God of your fathers giveth you. 2  Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the  Lord  your God which I command you. 3  Your eyes have seen what the  Lord  did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the  Lord  thy God hath destroyed them from among you. 4  But ye that did cleave unto the  Lord  your God are alive every one of you this day. 5  Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the  Lord  my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6  Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Sure
