Ecclesiastes 3:1-6King James Version (KJV)
3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
Dear Friends,
A historical perspective on hurtful events that have occurred in our lives have their place. Sometimes reflecting on them helps us to establish what lesson we learned so we don't repeat the same mistakes. Dwelling too long on such events may find us in an unforgiving state providing an atmosphere for bitterness to grow.
Frankly speaking there comes a time to move forward.
We have to know when to press ahead. It is imperative to "let it go!"
Following are a list of scriptures to encourage and empower us to move ahead:
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. - Exodus 23:20
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:18-19
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - II Corinthians 5:17
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 3:12-14
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: - I Peter 2:1-2
It's time to move forward. It's time to press ahead. It's time to let it go!
In Jesus name. Amen.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
Amen.
