Hebrews 12:1-3King James Version (KJV)
12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Dear Friends,
My daughter recently expanded her business to include a de-cluttering service. We talked about her new venture at length. Often it is difficult for people to let go of some things in order to make room for others.
Every ounce of space in their room, apartment or home is filled with stuff. It can be overwhelming. Just as our physical space can become cluttered by adding
on and never knowing quite when to lay things aside, the same came happen in our spiritual life.
We have got to get rid of some things. Things that weigh us down and prevent us from successfully completing the work God has assigned.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."
God bless you,
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
