The Clouds in God's Sky

Psalm 36:5-6King James Version (KJV)

5 Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

Dear Friends,

One of my favorite children's books is entitled It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles Green Shaw.  I loved to share it with my girls with they were preschoolers.  White shapes against a beautiful dark blue background appeared on the page. The collage cut outs appeared to look like different images with each turn of the page.  To the delight of many the last page revealed that all the while "it was just a cloud in the sky."

Trouble can take on many shapes in our lives. However, the one constant is that in spite of the shape or size the conclusion remain "God is in control there is no trouble greater than God."

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Just a minute. Things happen. Situations change. Here one minute and gone the next.  So the saying goes. Moments. They mater. While we have time… Take a second. Press pause. Stop.  Consider. I’ll Go With You

  Isaiah 41:10   “Fear thou not; for I  am  with thee: be not dismayed; for I  am  thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” “Jesus said if you go I’ll go with you.” Butterflies in my stomach  A racing heart  I do not want to attend the meeting  I wish I could cancel the appointment  I don’t want to talk about it Over “it” I don’t think I can do this  BUT GOD He reminds me that of course, I cannot accomplish even the most mundane tasks on my own  He assures me day by day that He is with me  He builds me up He orders my steps  He speaks peace to my soul  He renews my heart  Do not be afraid  You belong to Me I’ve got you I am holding you in My mighty hands  Go!
