Mark 13:10-12 King James Version (KJV)
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
Dear Friends,
Jesus did not leave us in the dark. He let us know that there would be rough days spent as a Christian. Certainly He came that we might have life and that more abundantly. But God also prepared us through Christ for the persecution that would come for those who would live for the Lord. Some will be accused falsely and led into situations where they can in no way prepare a defense for themselves. But God through the Holy Spirit will give the words to be spoken.
Some trouble comes suddenly and there is no preparation time. Preparation for the Christian is in the form of study of the word and prayer.
When the going gets rough we do not go alone. The Lord Mighty in Battle is with us every step of the way.
