I Want to Understand

Psalm 119:124-125 King James Version (KJV)


124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

Dear Friends,

What a privilege to be taught by the Holy Spirit.  He is faithful in leading and guiding us and giving us clear understanding if we look to Him.  When it was time for Jesus to leave this world, He said that we would not be left comfortless.  The Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit would be sent by God to not only comfort but also to teach us, to guide us in truth and to remind us.
In times like these I want to understand, clearly understand what God's will is daily.  To know what God would have me say requires seeking understanding that He alone can provide. Serving God means being willing to receive orders and then follow them.  Lord I pray for the wisdom to understand and the faith to act according to Your Word.  I pray not only for myself but for the Body of Christ as a whole.  In Jesus Name.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
