Psalm 139:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Dear Friends,
Seven years ago in December I started the blog under the name Unique Inspiration. Many years ago Unique Inspiration was issued as an inspirational newsletter and gracious individuals such as the late Gertrude Ribbins allowed me to make the free publication available in her bookstore.
One day while sitting at my computer the Holy Spirit whispered to my spirit, "I'm changing the name." I asked, "to what?" The response: "Tysthatbind." From that day on the blog has been published under that title.
There are so many ties that bind us together in life. Some are obvious and pleasant. Love, friendship, community, family, are ties that bind. Memories, good and bad can bind us. Hope, faith, grace, mercy are ties that bind. Fellowship is a binder.
One of the strongest ties that binds my life together was and is my relationship with my mother. It was in honor of her that the blog began. Ma, my biggest cheerleader. Ma, whose womb was my first home. Ma, who gave unconditional love. Ma, who was my safe place. Ma, nobody like her. So many times mothers are taken for granted. We think they will always be there. If you are blessed to still have your mother, cherish each moment. If mom has passed away, cherish each memory. Moments and memories. Both are ties that bind.
God bless!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
