Let There Be




"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." 
             - Genesis 1:1-3

Dear Friends,

I love meditating on the "Let there be's" in Genesis.  God said: Let there be light and light appeared.  And so it continues today.  The Word of God is  the power source that creates, changes, and moves people, places and things. Nothing escapes His attention.

"In the beginning God..." The same God, the Lord, The Spirit of God that moved upon the face of the waters abides ever present now.  He speaks to our hearts, into our lives. We only have to listen, trust and obey.

"Holy. Holy. Holy. Lord God Almighty. God in Three Persons. Blessed Trinity.

And God said, Let there be...

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
