Stand Fast and Hold On!

"Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work." - II Thessalonians 2:15-17 Dear Friends, Stand fast and hold on! "Blessed is  the  man that  end ureth  temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive  the  crown of life, which  the Lord hath promised  to   the m that love him." - James 1:12 Stand fast and hold on! "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.   Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her." - Proverbs 4:7-8 Stand fast and hold on! in Christ, Sis. Got to Keep Going....

" For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.  O love the  Lord , all ye his saints: for the  Lord  preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.  Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the  Lord ."         - Psalm 31:22-24 Dear Friends, There are going to be those days when you feel like throwing your hands up in the air...you are trying to do your best but folks don't understand.  Like the songwriter penned: "You prayed and you cried, prayed and you cried."  There are those days when your best does not seem good enough.   Christians, yes we are.  Spirit filled.  No doubt about it.  Determined to serve the Lord on the battlefield until our dying day.  Hush your mouth.  We are spirit filled Christians, clothed in the flesh surrounded by sin. We bleed. We hurt. And we encounter discouraging d

Lord Today I Pray for My Friends

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The   effectual  fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."    - James 5:16 Dear Friends, Keep on praying. Keep on believing.  There is no one beyond God's reach. To the utmost Jesus saves.  "Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.  I once was lost but now I'm found. Twas blind but now I see." in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A Friend In Need.....A Friend In Deed

" And the  Lord  turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the  Lord  gave Job twice as much as he had before."         - Job 42:10 Dear Friends, Sometimes the best thing we can do for our friends when they are going through adversity is to listen.  Job's friends sought to comfort him and in the midst of comforting they began to speculate as to the reason for his suffering.  We have to know when to be silent.  Silence in the appropriate places and times has been know to kindle and save friendships. Yet, even when silence is broken and when words are spoken out of turn a true friend will forgive and see the  love intended. "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the  multitude   of  sins." - I Peter 4:8 "A man that hath friends must  shew   himself   friendly : and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."    - Proverbs 18:24 in Christ,  Sis. Stephan

Praise: A Tie That Binds

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one  of  the  least   of   these   my   brethren , ye have done it unto me." - St. Matthew 25:40 Dear Friends, May you be blessed as you view and listen to two brothers who met along life's journey and praised the Lord together in song. Hallelujah is the highest praise. God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Consider These Things and be Wise

"There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:   The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;   The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;   The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;   The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.   There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:   A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;   A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up."      - Proverbs 30:24-30 Dear Friends, We can gain wisdom from all of God's creation if we would pause and consider.  Proverbs 30 outlines four things which are little upon the earth but very wise. Jesus tells us in St. Luke 12:27-28:   " Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in

Jesus! " He's That Kind of Friend"

" Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."    - St. John 15:14-15 Dear Friends, Jesus calls us friends.  A true friend is loyal.  A true friend looks out for your best interests. A true friend doesn't  break confidence.  A true friend keep their word.  Jesus is That Kind of Friend. God bless you. in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

The Truth Anyhow

"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."    - I John 5:20 Dear Friends, Jesus the Son of God is come that we might have understanding.  It is not His will nor intent that we remain in the dark.  He wants us to know Him personally and to abide in His truth.   Access to God is made possible only through Jesus Christ.  There is no other door. There is great joy walking in truth. "This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.   Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.   All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.   The thief c

Seriously

" Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." - I Peter 5:8-9 Dear Friends, Some people are getting discouraged in their Christian walk Seriously It's happening they say because they hear some folks talking about the Lord but not walking the walk Seriously Say that folks are texting and sleeping and whining throughout the church service and complaining that it is everybody else's "fault" Seriously There has been talk that personal opinion is elevated and that some folks prefer it to the Word of God Seriously In the midst of all this chaos people are wondering why folks are out of order and seem to be acting odd Seriously Reports are that situations like this are occurring in numerous churches and in several states

A Gift To You

" Lo,  children   are   an   heritage   of   the   Lord :  an d the f ruit  of   the  womb is his reward." - Psalm 127:3 Dear Friends, Many young people have started the school year and the year will begin soon for others.  Let us surround them with our prayers and support.  Let our prayers be with their parents and teachers. It is true that many things in the world have changed. Yet, the need for love, guidance and discipline still exists.  There is a need for encouragement.  "Good job!"  "You can do it!" Keep up the good work!"  "I care!" "I love you!" "I am praying for you!"  Positive reinforcement is needed. Pour blessings into the life of the young people along your journey.  Blessed to be a blessing! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Surrounded by His Goodness

" Yet the  Lord  will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life."    - Psalms 42:8 Dear Friends, In technical terms surround sound is a term applied to several different types of processes that enable the listener to experience sound coming from all directions, depending on the source material.   In the spiritual realm Jesus is Our Source. He surrounds us with his love and kindness through the presence of His Holy Spirit in the day time.  In the night watch  His song shall be with us to guide us through the dark places. Surrounded.  As with surround sound the abundance of God is something that is constant, overflowing. It comes at us from all directions. We can never be where God is not. The great faithfulness of God is renewed each morning.  We are surrounded with His grace.  " It is of the  Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion's fail n

If The Lord Will, We Shall...

"   Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.   For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that."    - James 4:14-15 Dear Friends, May the Lord bless you as you go throughout this day.   Thank the Lord for another day to live, another day to serve. If the Lord will, we shall... in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Faith Cometh By Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God

" Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.   For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.   For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.   For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.   But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)   Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)   But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth th
