"And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before."
- Job 42:10
Dear Friends,
Sometimes the best thing we can do for our friends when they are going through adversity is to listen. Job's friends sought to comfort him and in the midst of comforting they began to speculate as to the reason for his suffering. We have to know when to be silent. Silence in the appropriate places and times has been know to kindle and save friendships.
Yet, even when silence is broken and when words are spoken out of turn a true friend will forgive and see the love intended.
"And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." - I Peter 4:8
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
- Proverbs 18:24
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
