Dear Friends,

I love quotes.  Inspirational quotes, quotes about leadership, friendship quotes, quotes about reading and quotes about motivation are among my favorites. 
There are many quotes about the Bible, many quotes about scripture.  There are many quotes about Jesus Christ. There are quotes that sound like they could have been in the Bible and people say the words are there.  Words like "you are saved by your own beliefs" are often quoted.  I've been told this is in the Bible.  It is not.

It is crucial to read and study the Word of God for yourself.  It is important to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
     - Hebrews 4:12

Jesus said:
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." - St. John 5:39

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. The Journey Here

  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
