The Lord is Great and Greatly to Be Praised

1 Chronicles 16:24-26  King James Version (KJV) 24  Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. 25  For great is the  Lord , and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 26  For all the gods of the people are idols: but the  Lord  made the heavens. Dear Friends, We are to:  Declare the glory of the Lord Declare His glory among the unbelievers Declare His great work Tell of His goodness everywhere we go God is GREAT He deserves GREAT PRAISE God is be be worshipped All other gods are idols The Lord He is God "  Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:   Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious."        - Psalm 66:1-2 The Lord is Great and greatly to be praised. in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Accept! Acknowledge! Appreciate!

Psalm 69:13-14 King James Version (KJV) 13  But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O  Lord , in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. 14  Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. Proverbs 3:5- King James Version (KJV) 5  Trust in the  Lord  with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 2 Corinthians 9:15 King James Version (KJV) 15  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. Dear Friends, What a glorious time we had in worship service today!  The Missionary Society led devotion and the sister leading the song and prayer sparked a fire. The Praise Team ushered in the remaining service with I Am a Friend of God.  The choir sang...The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power.  Better.  Blessed and Worth.  (Glorious time.  We had a

"The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power"

Hebrews 13:20-21 King James Version (KJV) 20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Dear Friends, On the highest mountain or the lowest valley, the blood of Jesus has power.  In the brightest day or darkest night, the blood of Jesus has power.   There is no problem, obstacle or challenge that cannot be overcome by the blood of Jesus Christ. "I know it was the blood.  I know it was the blood. I know it was the blood.  One day when I was lost, JESUS died upon the cross.  I know it was the blood for you and me." in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

The Word of the Lord Endures...Forever

1 Peter 1:24-25 (KJV) 24  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Dear Friends, The songwriter penned:  "What wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.  What can make me whole again?  Nothing but the blood of Jesus." In the flesh there is corruption.  The body decays.  Body functions and levels of strength decrease with time and age.  The glory of youth passes.  An appointment with death is one that cannot be escaped.   Some may ask, what's the point?  Where's the hope?  In the business world the question might be what can be done to ensure sustainability? The answer is The One,The Only , Jesus Christ. He is the Living Word of God and in Him rests our spiritual sustainability. Hear the Word of the Lord: 20  Then Martha, a

Take Care

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.   As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."       - Galatians 6:9-10 Dear Friends, Today is a day of celebration for me.  It is my youngest brother's birthday. He is my brother, my brother in Christ and my dear friend. I celebrate His gifts and on today his gift of "taking care" which falls under hospitality.  Often the caretakers are overlooked, under valued and seldom celebrated. Yet, their role in our families, in our churches and in the community is a necessity.  Their ability to function a gift. Yesterday evening  at Bible study the Pastor lifted up two qualities that should be possessed by leaders. They are service/slavery.  The slave portion may throw some off. Yet in the context of the Christian who serves the cause of Christ and submits his/her own will to His is a

Keep Pressing Towards the Mark!

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."   - Philippians 3:13-14 Dear Friends, It is not always clear why things happen the way they do.  I do not always understand why our presence is required or needed in certain situations.  Yet, I do know that Christians don't just appear on the scene. Christians are assigned a purpose.     " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."        -  St. Matthew 5:16 God is always in the midst making a way, opening a door, creating an opportunity.  This is true even when "all" is not clear to us.  Knowing that we serve a Faithful God, we must keep pressing toward the mark. The mark:  " I know thy works,

Proof? Read!

" Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." - St. John 5:39 "Study   to   shew   thyself   approved  unto God, a workman that needeth not  to  be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."         - I Timothy 2:15 "  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself."     -  II Timothy 2:13  Dear Friends, When preparing documents to print or post it is very important to proofread or have someone perform this task for you.  My mother use to proofread documents for me.  My youngest daughter will often proofread my blog entries.  Well sometimes, I get ahead of myself like yesterday and I posted with numerous typos much to my chagrin.   As the Holy Spirit always faithfully does he worked all things together for good.  Proof? Read! There we have the subject for today's post.   Mankind still searches for the proof of the existence of the Almighty God.  Skep

We All Got Faults

Galatians 6 King James Version (KJV) 6  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5  For every man shall bear his own burden. 6  Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10  As we have therefore opportun
