"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer." - Psalm 19:14
Dear Friends,
Some times the best words are spoken in silence. Family or friends can come to us with situations that leave us at a loss for words. We can find ourselves searching for the appropriate sentiment or thought, desperate not to say the wrong thing.
In silence, we can offer words of prayer. Our mouths don't have to move. We do not have to give an audible response to everyone who comes to talk. We can silently pray. "Mercy, Lord." "Lord help!" "Thank you Lord." "Jesus."
These silent prayers can be the meditation of the heart. This meditation must often and should often proceed the words. When prayer comes first it is more likely that the words uttered after will be acceptable.
"I love you I care. I'm praying for you."
