Nothing to Be Taken for Granted

  


 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
                           - I Thessalonians 5:18


I just cannot believe how many things I took for granted.  Some things were big and others were small.  Yet, taken for granted nevertheless.  I am learning to be  more thankful.  I am learning how much the little things matter.  Little things add up to big things.  In every thing give thanks.  There is a difference in giving thanks in every thing and for everything.  I am not thankful for bad things that are happening but I can be thankful in the midst of them.  

Look for the good.  Expect to see the good and you will find it.  My heart is aching for the grief that I see.Tears are falling for the despair that is all around.  Yet, something on the inside stirs and reminds me that nothing is to be taken for granted.  There is always something to be thankful for. Nothing should be taken for granted.

I’ll Go With You

  Isaiah 41:10   “Fear thou not; for I  am  with thee: be not dismayed; for I  am  thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” “Jesus said if you go I’ll go with you.” Butterflies in my stomach  A racing heart  I do not want to attend the meeting  I wish I could cancel the appointment  I don’t want to talk about it Over “it” I don’t think I can do this  BUT GOD He reminds me that of course, I cannot accomplish even the most mundane tasks on my own  He assures me day by day that He is with me  He builds me up He orders my steps  He speaks peace to my soul  He renews my heart  Do not be afraid  You belong to Me I’ve got you I am holding you in My mighty hands  Go!
