God Specializes

2 Peter 1:2-4King James Version (KJV)

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Dear Friends,

The first day of a new month.  February 1, 2017 a time of new beginnings.  In the newness of the day that we are blessed to see we are greeted by the mercies of the Everlasting God. He is changeless in His character and constant in His faithfulness.
Seasons change.  According to our calendar this happens in increments.  We have moved from January to February. In our part of the country/world it is still winter.  We live and move through each season of life by the grace of God.

Peter opens his letter with greetings or wishes for  multiplied grace and peace. This is God's will for us. We can have this increase though the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the faithful application of His word to our lives.

The Lord has given us everything we need to make it through each season of life equipped to meet the challenges life presents and to grow closer to him in the process.

God specializes in the "all of life" for He is Lord of ALL.

I am reminded of a song from childhood that my Aunt led in the choir, God Specializes.  I can still hear the sound of her voice and the conviction with which she sang the song.

May the words (verses) penned by Gloria Griffin and recorded by numerous artists encourage you today:

Have you any rivers that seem uncrossable? And have you any mountain that you cannot tunnel through? God specializes in things thought impossible And He will do what no other no other power - Holy Ghost power can do.

Have you ever been on your bed of affliction. And the doctors have done all they could do. But you heard somebody say, God specializes in healing all kinds of diseases. And He will do what no other doctor, no other physician can do.

God specializes.

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
