This Is the Day

 Psalm 118:24 - King James Version

 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the day! This day is the day!  The Lord has made it.  We will not waver in how we consider this day.  We will rejoice, this day.  We will be glad, this day.  

We will not be distracted by our circumstances.  Circumstances may be favorable or unfavorable.  Both can distract us.  But, this day, we will focus.  On this day we will look up. On this day we will be thankful.  We praise God that He has given us this day.

We made it through the night.  We were blessed to "see" the morning.  Our heart is beating. Our mind is functioning.  The sun is in the sky.  The birds are singing.  Squirrels are scurrying. Air is available for breathing.  This day.  I am talking about, this day.

Sure, we have concerns.  Yet, we are assured this day that the Lord is concerned about all that concerns us.  This day we are going to take a minute.  This is the day we are going to pause. We will reflect and be reminded of the awesome goodness of our Mighty God.  This is the day.

This is the day that has been gifted to us.  We cannot go back. That is history, yesterday.  We cannot get ahead of ourselves nor predict the future.  We will not worry about tomorrow.  We petition God for what we need.  Our Father which are in heaven...give us this day our daily bread.

This is the day. Glorious it is.  This is the day. Magnificent in splendor.  This is the day.  I am getting happy just thinking about it.  This day.  Praise God.

I Remember

"When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.  Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings I will rejoice." - Psalms 63:6-7 Dear Friends, "My sister and me used to have bunk beds.  This reminds of me of that. Do you remember Stephanie? It's like we are having a pajama party." I remember. I sat with my sister in her Hospice room and I remembered.  Bunk beds that we sometimes had stacked and at other times they were laid side by side, like twin beds.  I remember that we are not in our room of long ago. Unless the Lord says otherwise when this "party" is over my sister will be with the Lord and I will return to my earthly home.  I remember.
