Proverbs 6:6
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”
Let me start by saying that ants are not my favorite insect.
I am an admirer of butterflies.
The Bible does not specifically mention butterflies.
However, studying their metamorphosis
mirrors our new birth in Christ.
The ant however, that’s something.
We are told to
consider her ways and be wise.v6
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,v7
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest v8
The ant…that’s something.
God uses this small creature to teach life lessons.
Small things matter.
Every creature has significance.
The ant lives and thrives all over the world.
Ants are adaptable.
They work together.
They collaborate.
They show up.
Ants are not deterred from doing what they need to do whether we like it or not.
They don’t have an “ant boss.”
They are trusted by God to perform their duties in the way it was ordained.
The ant…that’s something.
They are referred to as strong and mighty.
Let us consider their ways.
Be bold.
Adaptable.
Do the job God has assigned.
Work together.
Collaborate.
‘Tis the season to get busy serving the Lord.
God bless.
In Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
