HOT & COLD

 

Daniel 2:21

“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”



Still thinking about the seasons. 

Perhaps it is because we got our first significant snow fall today.

Howling winds. Snow fall creating blankets for the trees, grass and the ground.


Not so long ago we had sweltering heat.

Sitting on the porch swing trying to catch a breeze.

Staying in the house for air conditioning or a nice fan.


Hot and cold.

Some prefer summer.

Others love the cold and snow.


I used to favor one over the other.

But now I am simply thankful to live another day.

Content in whatever “state” I find myself in.


Hot or cold. No matter…


This is the day the Lord has made.

And I am rejoicing.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
