ONCE MORE AND AGAIN

 

Philippians 4:6

 

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Prayer and supplication. 

I heard the deacon pray:

“Heavenly Father once more and again we come to you with humble hearts.”

Humble before God.

We acknowledge His authority.

We reverence Him. 

We adore Him.

 We worship God.

We praise Him.

Once more and again.

This is prayer and supplication. 

Continuous prayer.

 It is to pray without ceasing.

 Effectual and fervent prayer makes a difference.

We offer thanksgiving, as we boldly approach the throne of God.

Prayer is a tie that binds us together.

 We pray for each other.

We have faith in Father God knowing that He hears and answers prayer.

Lord God, we ask you to speak peace.

 Please heal the wounded heart.

We pray for grace and mercy.

Once more and again.

  Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
