Mark 9:1-5King James Version (KJV)
9 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Dear Friends,
Jesus took Peter, James and John with Him on a journey and after six day led them up and into a high mountain.
To be in the presence of the Lord is to be led upward to a higher place. Higher ground is a place where souls are lifted and lives are transformed. One songwriter penned: "Lord plant my feet on higher ground."
The presence of Jesus, Holy Ground is found through prayer, through praise, through the study of His word and through worship.
Isaiah 55:6-7King James Version (KJV)
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Master, it is good for us to be here. It is good to be alive and in a place of thanksgiving. Thank you for being the Lord of our lives. MASTER! It is good for us to be HERE!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
