Looking Forward to Heaven...Won't It Be Grand

Revelation 21:1-3King James Version (KJV)

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Dear Friends,

As Christians we have something to look forward to.
A grand day is coming when we will reach our heavenly home. One of my favorite deacon's who has gone home to be with the Lord would sing the following song with such fervor.  I cannot locate the author but it has been recorded by various artists over the years and can be found on youtube.

May you be blessed as you meditate on the lyrics.

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

"Won't It Be Grand"

Chorus:
Won't it be grand.
Won't it be grand.
Won't it grand.
Won't it be grand.
I'm going home to live with Jesus.
Won't it be grand.

Won't it be grand.
Won't it be grand.
Won't it grand.
Won't it be grand.
I'm going home to live with Jesus.
Won't it be grand.

Verse #1:

When I get through singing down here.
Out of the sunshine out in the rain.
You know I’m going home to live with Jesus.
Won’t it be grand.

Verse #2:

When I get through prayin down here.
Out of the sunshine out in the rain.
I’m going home to live with Jesus.
Won’t it be grand.

Verse #3
You can talk about me just as much as you please.
The more you talk, I’m gonna stay on my knees
You know I’m gonna home to live with Jesus.
Won’t it be grand.

Verse #4.
One of these mornings it won’t be long.
You gonna look for me and I’ll be gone.
I’m going home to live with Jesus.
Won’t it be grand.

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
