Do You Have Anything Good to Say...

Proverbs 25:11King James Version (KJV)

11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

Dear Friends,
Words have the power to heal and destroy. The Bible say this:
  • Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - Proverbs 18:21
When we choose words that are uplifting, words that encourage and speak life to someone else we can have a tremendous impact on their day and life.  Imagine a child or teenager who only hears negative talk at home and the teacher in the classroom who provides positive reinforcement, "good job," "you have great potential!"

I think about the times when walking through the grocery store or down the street and smiling and saying hello or good morning to people I pass.  Some are genuinely shocked, especially teenagers but most smile and speak back.

Taking the time to say something good means slowing down and paying attention.

And as my grandmother use to say if you can't say anything good, don't say anything.

How about it. Do you have anything good to say?

To each of you reading the blog today, I want to say may the Lord bless an keep you. Thank you for taking the time to share your time with me here at Tysthatbind.

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

2 Peter 1:5   “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;” One of my hobbies is making yarn wreaths.  The wreath frame symbolizing an unbroken circle and an eternal hope. Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
