Speak to Our Hearts...

Deuteronomy 5:28-29King James Version (KJV)

28 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Dear Friends,

The Lord had spoken to the children of Israel through Moses and continued to leadership to them through Moses for many years.  As it often is the people often questioned the leadership of Moses and there were times when they were accepting of the message he brought forth.  Such is the case in the highlighted verses.  In verse twenty-nine hear the word of the Lord:
  • O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever
Reading these words today the Holy Spirit whispered to me to cry out "Speak to Our Hearts."  Oh that we would set that petition before the Lord to speak to our hearts to let us know His will. Yes.  But moreover speak to our hearts so that we may know the compassion you require and desire for us to exhibit empathy for one another.  We read the scriptures and we can have the zeal of God but lack the knowledge to move forward in living right if we do not open our hearts to perform  the works.  "Faith without works is dead."
Speak to our hearts today God. Speak to our hearts.  Show us how to move forward in the power of Your might. Speak to our hearts Lord. Let us have a heart of reverence, a desire to keep your commandments that it will be well with us and with our children.  Lord God speak to our hearts.

in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
