Thinking Thankful Thoughts

 

Psalms 104:34

“My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.”


“I have so many things to thank God for. And O Lord I want to thank you for so many things. For Your love and mercy and all I’m possessing. I lay awake sometimes counting my blessings. These things and more, Lord I thank you for.”

I remember how much I looked forward to hearing Deacon Ezell sing this song. His voice always full of joy and testimony. 


The chorus resonates within me: “I’ve got my sight, and that’s a blessing. Clothed in my right mind, and that’s a blessing…”


As I write this morning, I am thinking thankful thoughts. Sometimes in my sleep the Holy Spirit gives me a song to inform my spirit. A song to comfort my soul. 

 He soothed my soul.

with the memory of this song. 


Thankful thoughts Lord. Let me always have this presence of mind. 


I pray that you will have a day that is filled with

thankfulness. 

No matter what we are facing, despite the troubles in our way, we choose to rejoice. 


Think. 

Thankful.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely.
