Hebrews 12:1
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”
“Lord hold my hand while I run this race. Lord guide my feet while I run this race. Lord fix my
heart while I run this race.
Cause I don’t want to run this race in vain.”
Let it go. My grandmother often told me:
“Let go and let God.” Letting go and “letting”
God is a process.
First we have to lay the weights aside. This laying aside doesn’t mean we act as if our problems don’t exist. The attitude of: if I ignore my problems, they will go away, is not the solution.
Problems, cares, and concerns are weights.
Sin is a weight. The temptations that haunts us are weights.
God does not intend for us to be “weighted” down. A runner carrying a heavy load will not be able to go the distance.
The remedy? Lay the weights aside.
How can we do this? Through prayer.
Pray. Keep turning it over to God.
Consistency is key. Keep praying.
Keep giving “it all” to God.
Run the race.
Do it with patience.
God will hold our hand.
God will guide our feet.
God will fix our hearts, WHILE WE RUN THIS RACE.
“Cause, we don’t want to run this race in vain.”
God bless.
In Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
