I DO WONDER

 

Galatians 6:2

 

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Everyone has something going on. 

I try very hard to remain conscious of this in my interactions with others.

The person at the drive thru window…a neighbor…colleague…church or family member…a friend

Everyone has something going on.

If we knew the burdens others carried would we be kinder?

If they knew the load on our shoulders would it make a difference?

Sadly some people could care less.

Yet, there are those whose hearts are touched by the heartache of others. They feel empathy for those they know personally and those they have only heard about.

I wonder if it had not been for the Lord on my side where would I be?

The truth..

I would be nowhere. 

I would be doing nothing. 

It is because He lifted my burdens 

He

 bore my sins 

And saved my soul that I am here.

Let me therefore bear the burden of another and in so doing fulfill the law of Christ.

How?

Lifting by love 

Even as love lifted me.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
