THE STAR STILL SHINES

 

Matthew 2:10

 

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.” 

The star still shines.

Just as the wise men sought Jesus and were led to him by the light of a star, the Light still shines today.

Those who seek the Lord will be found of Him. 

Jesus is.

He is…

The Light of the World.

In spite of the turmoil, the trouble, and darkness that surrounds, 

the Light still shines. 

Throughout history, suffering has appeared insurmountable.

 Oppression, persecution, poverty and distress, have impacted lives in unimaginable ways.

Yet, the Bible teaches us that where sin did abound, grace did much more abound.

Grace came at Christmas. 

Emmanuel.

 God with us. 

Grace in the person of Jesus Christ, to save from sin. 

Jesus.

The Star.

 He is the Bright and Morning Star.

Forever.

 He shall shine.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
