WATERED BY THE WORD

 

Ephesians 5:26

“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,”


Not all bottled water tastes the same.


There are places where water is scarce.

Places where tap water is unsafe. 


We need water to live.

It is possible to go longer without food than without water.


Water.

Necessary.

Can’t do without it.


Moreover…


I think about the Bubbling Brook. 

The Living Water.

The source of my strength.


 There is a well that never runs dry.


In  Christ I will always be hydrated.


No more thirst.


The promise of everlasting life.


Living Water.

He floods my soul.

He refreshes my spirit.

He strengthens me.


What a blessing. 

This Water. 


What a privilege it is to be…

Watered by The Word.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
