"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is known in her palaces for a refuge." Psalms 48:1-3
Dear Friends,
The hymn "How Great Thou Art" written by Stuart K. Hine is one of the most popular hymns in the country. Hine's and his wife were missionaries in Poland in the early 1920's. For me and my family both immediate and extended, the hymn has been made greater by memories of my sister Gretchen singing it. Gretchen with her anointed voice bellowed out the words each time she sang the hymn with conviction and assurance. Why? It was because she took ownership through her unfaltering faith in the One and Only True God. She knew that He Was, He Is and Always Will Be Great.
Meditating on the greatness of Our Heavenly Father gives rise to praise. His praise is glorious! The power of our praise is magnified when we lift our voices bearing witness to His Majesty. Our testimonies are firm due to our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
"When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and lead me home what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow with humble adoration. And then proclaim, My God, how great Thou art!"
- Stuart K. Hines
This verse strengthens my faith whenever, I read it, hear it or contemplate it. My sister sang the verse with a countenance that glowed as she appears to be glimpsing heaven as she sang.
She applied that power to her life and today I pay tribute to her. Proverbs asks: "Who can a find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies." - Proverbs 31cf
Those who knew her, knew her to be a woman of virtue.
Tomorrow is her birthday. January 30th. This year while my father, brothers and I cannot call to wish her a happy day, we can rejoice.

Joyful celebration in knowing that she whom we adored is enjoying an eternal celebration with God!
How Great Thou Art!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
