"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
II Corinthians 2:14
Dear Friends,
In verse 13 of II Corinthians 2, Paul is discouraged because he cannot locate his friend. However, very quickly his attitude changes from despair to hope in verse 14.
Why? He shifted his focus from the perceived problem to the reality. There is no loss in Christ. Always He is victorious. There is a saying the Lord placed in my spirit many years ago. "It don't matter what it looks like it only matters what it is!" This saying while not indicated in standard English is the standard of faith response. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1
When we keep ourselves fixed on the truth of God's word, thanking Him in advance for victory that is sure in every circumstance, we find we can live triumphantly. When? Win? The first "when" cannot be answered matter of fact in most instances. But God, assures us that while we are not always privy to the timing of deliverance does not mean it is not certain. The second "win" is sealed for we are Winners in Christ.
In Christ we are caused to triumph as we remain in his will. Romans 8:28:
And we know that all things work together for good... The victory is in knowing God. The preparation for victory is thanking Him in advance.
Say it aloud: "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph..."
Win! Win!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
