All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness... II Timothy 3:16

The phrase "stick with the script" is often given as an admonishment, a gentle push or out and out directive when an individual or group is getting off task. As the Holy Spirit laid the theme for today on my heart I had to pause and say "Jesus this is really something." The more appropriate response would have been JESUS YOU ARE REALLY SOMETHING! I need to STICK WITH THE SCRIPT!
The Script is God's Word and Jesus, hallelujah is The Word of God. What peace what comfort to have the Holy Spirit give pause to say to us today Stick to the Script. Hold fast to the Word of God. Embrace Jesus Christ and understand that there is no reason to get off course. In fact, not sticking to the Holy Scriptures is what causes much of the turmoil in our lives.
A script in hand ensures that there is always a point of reference. In the case of actors that they can refer to it in case they forget their lines. Lest we forget our reason for being as children of the Most High God we need stick to the Scriptures. "Line upon line, precept upon precept." (Isaiah 28:13 cf)
God has not left us here to fend for ourselves. Everything we need to live a Christ centered life is available to us. 2 Peter 1:2-3 tells us:
"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue..." KJV
Let me encourage you today: Do not go off script. Do not ignore the leading of the Holy Spirit. Stick with the Script!
As the songwriter has penned:
"Let Jesus lead you. Let Jesus lead you. Let Jesus lead you all the way. All the way from earth to heaven, let Jesus lead you always the way!"
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

1 Blest be the tie that binds
our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship of kindred minds
is like to that above.
our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship of kindred minds
is like to that above.
2 Before our Father's throne
we pour our ardent prayers;
our fears, our hopes, our aims are one,
our comforts and our cares.
we pour our ardent prayers;
our fears, our hopes, our aims are one,
our comforts and our cares.
3 We share our mutual woes,
our mutual burdens bear,
and often for each other flows
the sympathizing tear.
our mutual burdens bear,
and often for each other flows
the sympathizing tear.
4 When we are called to part,
it gives us inward pain;
but we shall still be joined in heart,
and hope to meet again.
it gives us inward pain;
but we shall still be joined in heart,
and hope to meet again.
5 This glorious hope revives
our courage by the way;
while each in expectation lives
and waits to see the day.
our courage by the way;
while each in expectation lives
and waits to see the day.
6 From sorrow, toil, and pain,
and sin, we shall be free;
and perfect love and friendship reign
through all eternity.
and sin, we shall be free;
and perfect love and friendship reign
through all eternity.
